This week, Rabbits Class had some very special visitors... two adorable real life rabbits! The children were absolutely delighted to meet their furry friends and thoroughly enjoyed this exciting hands-on experience. The visit was a wonderful opportunity to learn about pets and the importance of being gentle, kind and respectful towards animals. It also encouraged curiosity, built confidence and gave the children the chance to explore something new and exciting!

We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to our wonderful PTA and to all our families and friends for your incredible support and generosity throughout the last academic year. Thanks to your fantastic fundraising efforts at our school fayres and events, our PTA raised an amazing nearly £3,000! These funds have been put to fantastic use, purchasing a range of sensory and self-regulation equipment for every class across our school. The new resources include: rocker chairs, yoga balls, weighted blankets, spinning chairs These wonderful additions will help our children develop their self-regulation and independence skills, supporting their emotional wellbeing and helping them feel calm, focused and ready to learn. We are excited to share that the equipment will be distributed to classrooms at the beginning of Term 2, ready for the children to enjoy and benefit from. Every donation, every event attended and every helping hand has made a real difference to our children. Thank you for being such an amazing and supportive school community!

Starlings Class had a wonderful day at Uncle Henry's, learning all about harvest time and enjoying the chance to explore the farm! The children especially loved the exciting tractor ride and spending the day outdoors, enjoying the fresh air and making lots of lovely memories! To show their appreciation, the children made a beautiful thank-you card for Nicky from Uncle Henry's. A huge thank you to Nicky and everyone at Uncle Henry's for such a fantastic day filled with fun, learning and adventure!

Meet the Team at Warren Wood School! Last week, we were delighted to welcome our parents, carers and families into school for our Meet the Team events! It was a wonderful opportunity for families to come into school, spend some special time with their child and take part in a fun activity together. It gave families the chance to meet and say hello to the class teams who support, care for and work with their children every day. A big thank you to all our families who came along. Opportunities like these help us continue to build strong and positive partnerships between home and school. Together we learn. Together we thrive.

Come along to meet local schools, ask questions and find out more about what they can offer your child and family. A proud day for Warren Wood and our Trust Today, we were delighted to welcome representatives from the Department for Education (DfE) who visited some schools across our Trust to see first hand the fantastic work taking place. At Warren Wood, the visit followed our recent Ofsted inspection and gave us another opportunity to showcase our wonderful school, our children and the community that surrounds them. Our visitors were particularly impressed by the calm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the school as well as our strong focus on communication and belonging. We spoke a great deal about how Warren Wood is so much more than just the school itself. Our community includes our children and staff, our families, the external agencies we work alongside and everyone who plays a part in supporting our children's lives and progress. The Department for Education recognised this sense of community as a real strength of Warren Wood which was wonderful to hear. We are incredibly proud of everyone who helps make Warren Wood the special place it is. 👏 Well done, Warren Wood and thank you to all our families and wider community for your continued support.

🦷 Teeth & Oral Hygiene Workshop Yesterday, some of our Key Stage 2 pupils enjoyed a workshop with Lucia-May, learning all about how to look after their teeth and gums and which foods help to keep them healthy. In the afternoon, Lucia-May also held a workshop for parents and carers, discussing the importance of good oral hygiene and how it can impact not only our teeth, but also our speech and overall health. A big thank you to Lucia-May for a really informative day! 😊

🌟 A fantastic first full week at Warren Wood! 🌟 Our classrooms are carefully prepared each day, ready to welcome pupils into school and provide a calm, purposeful start to their learning. This consistent approach helps pupils to become familiar with their routines, develop confidence and build independence. It has been wonderful to see everyone settling in so well, exploring their learning environments and becoming increasingly confident in their daily routines. We are delighted to share some photographs from a very positive first full week at Warren Wood.

New equipment, new adventures! Our outdoor area in EYFS is getting an upgrade! New cars, balancing planks, tyres and more are ready for our children to explore, move and play. And we're not finished yet... Over half term, we'll be resurfacing the area and creating a new mud kitchen and nature exploration space! 🌱🪵 Watch this space! 💚
